While the Rip Wheeler and Beth DuttonĀ Yellowstone spin-offĀ series is currently untitled, thereās some fresh cast news on the horizon as it looks as though the pairās kind-of surrogate son will be joining the series also.
According toĀ Deadline, Finn Littleās Carter will be joining the new drama as a series regular. As of now, details about the series remain thin on the ground but the news may not come as all that surprising toĀ Yellowstone fans, seeing as Carter has become an important part of Rip and Bethās life in the latter seasons of the original ranching show.
Having been introduced in Yellowstone season 4, Carter remained a regular character until theĀ series finaleĀ and had quite the character arc.
From meeting Beth as his own father was dying in hospital to feeling as though he had nowhere to go when he did lose his father to drug addiction, Beth and Rip quickly became guardians to the young character and gave him work on the Dutton ranch.

Itās expected that this new series will remain in the present-day like Yellowstone and will share the most integral parts of the original show, compared to various spin-offs likeĀ 1923Ā or 1883.
More recently, Rip actor Cole Hauser opened up about the new spin-off and put an end to rumours that it will be called Dutton Ranch. Speaking to Fox News, he said: āWell, first of all, itās not Dutton Ranch. Thatās not the name of it.ā
He went on: āWe can expect the same that weāve been doing for the last seven years. Kelly [Reilly] and I going and working our asses off trying to create something special.ā
It had been reported last year that the new spin-off was in the works, another series being developed by the franchiseās creator Taylor Sheridan.
Itās not the first spin-off and isnāt even the only one in the works. Thereās alsoĀ The Madison, which is set to star Hollywood icon Michelle Pfeiffer.
The logline for the series states that The Madison āis a heartfelt study of grief and human connection following a New York City family in the Madison River valley of central Montanaā.
As for Rip and Bethās series, weāll just have to keep our eyes peeled for details about the new show and whether anymore familiar Yellowstone faces will be making an appearance.
