Yellowstone Universe Expands: Rip & Beth Spinoff Title Revealed (and it’s NOT what you think!), Plus Kayce’s Return Confirmed for New Series!
The Dutton saga is far from over! As Yellowstone itself concluded its final season, the sprawling universe created by Taylor Sheridan is gearing up for a massive expansion, with significant updates on highly anticipated spinoffs, including the one centered on fan-favorites Beth Dutton (Kelly Reilly) and Rip Wheeler (Cole Hauser), and a brand-new series for Kayce Dutton (Luke Grimes)!
Rip & Beth’s Spinoff Title Finally Revealed (and it’s a surprise!)
Fans have been buzzing about the continuation of Beth and Rip’s story, with many referring to their upcoming series by the working title “Dutton Ranch.” However, Cole Hauser himself has set the record straight: “Well, first of all, it’s not ‘Dutton Ranch.’ That’s not the name of it.” While the official title remains under wraps, this confirmation signals that the new show will carve its own distinct identity beyond the original Yellowstone land.
Hauser reassured fans that he and Kelly Reilly are “going and working our a– off trying to create something special,” promising the same beloved dynamic and intense storytelling that has captivated audiences for seven years. The Rip and Beth spinoff is still expected to premiere in late November 2025, continuing their story in the present-day timeframe.
Kayce Dutton Returns in New Spinoff: ‘Y: Marshals’ Coming to CBS!
In another exciting development, Luke Grimes is officially set to reprise his role as Kayce Dutton in a new spinoff series titled “Y: Marshals.” This procedural drama will see Kayce join an elite unit of U.S. Marshals in Montana, leveraging his skills as a cowboy and former Navy SEAL to deliver “range justice.”
Unlike other Yellowstone universe shows that primarily stream on Paramount+, “Y: Marshals” is slated to air on Sunday nights on CBS in spring 2026, bringing Kayce’s story to a wider network television audience. This move signals a strategic expansion for the franchise, reaching new viewers while still being available to stream on Paramount+.
More From the Ever-Growing Yellowstone Universe:

- “The Madison”: Starring Michelle Pfeiffer, this present-day spinoff will focus on a New York City family relocating to Montana’s Madison River valley, dealing with grief and new challenges. It’s expected to debut in 2025.
- “1923”: The second and final season of this prequel, starring Harrison Ford and Helen Mirren, premiered in February 2025.
