Now, Variety has confirmed Ben Schnetzer, who portrayed the young version of Mike Evans in 3 Body Problem, will be joining the cast of The Madison. Schnetzer will portray Van, “a salt-of-the-earth and neighborly Montana rancher” who Stacy will meet during the course of the series. While nothing else has been revealed about the character, the actor’s previous work indicates he’ll be an intriguing fit for the Yellowstone spinoff.

On TV, he’s played Marcus Goldman in The Truth About the Harry Quebert Affair and starred as Yorick Brown in FX’s Y: The Last Man.

Given his versatile acting career, Schnetzer will be a strong addition to The Madison, which already stars the likes of Kurt Russell, Patrick J. Adams, Beau Garrett, and Elle Chapman. Since Yellowstone season 5 part 2 will be the end of the main series – despite reports season 6 is being floated around – his performance will be important to establishing the spinoff as a worthy successor.
