split into two parts, it was revealed that Yellowstone season 5 part 2 will debut later this month.

With the series conclusion imminent, Collider reports that Yellowstone has confirmed the promotion of an actor to a series regular for the final part of the season. Kathryn Kelly, who played the recurring role of Emily in Yellowstone season 4 will see her part expanded for the last half of season 5. Her character’s burgeoning relationship with Jimmy Hurstrom has been viewed as one of the series’ highlights.

Expect The Four Six Ranch To Play A Prominent Role In The Show’s Conclusion

While the storylines remain under wraps for now, the Yellowstone season 5 part 2 trailer shows the Dutton family in disarray in John Dutton’s absence – no doubt a plot point to cover Costner’s departure from the show – and plagued by infighting and outside forces looking to take what is theirs. However, there are also bound to be plenty of plotlines focused on the Four Six Ranch, and, in particular, Emily and Jimmy’s relationship, which could wind up intertwined with the fate of the Duttons.

The ranch is a place men go to learn how to become cowboys in an unforgiving world, and this could take on greater prominence with the conclusion of the show. Whether both (or either) or Beth or Jimmy will survive what is sure to be an explosive conclusion remains to be seen, but viewers will be hoping the duo get to enjoy a happy ending. Elsewhere, the conflict between Beth and Jamie threatens to spill over and impact everything and everyone around them.

Will Emily Have A Prominent Role?

The end of Yellowstone season 4 saw Jimmy depart for a new and simpler life on the Four Six Ranch, with Emily as his fiancee, and that seems unlikely to change. I doubt that either would seek to return to the Dutton Ranch, and their fate will be tied to the future of the Four Six, but outside factors could have a big say. The in-fighting and ambition that has plagued the Duttons is absent at the Four Six, but there is a chance Emily could still get dragged into the machinations of the family for the conclusion of Yellowstone season 5.
