Yellowstone fans have been discussing the Paramount Plus show on social media

ahead of the series finale, which is fast approaching. The American neo-Western

drama is returning on November 10, with the final few episodes of season 5 wrapping

up the story.

Ahead of Yellowstone’s comeback, which will not feature John Dutton actor Kevin Costner following his official departure from the show earlier this year, fans have taken to Reddit to look back on previous seasons.

One fan drew attention to a character that many viewers seem to have forgotten, following the actress’ sudden departure from the series.

The Reddit user with the handle @windmillninja attached a picture of the actress Kelly Rohrbach dressed in character as Cassidy Reid.

They wrote: “Shout out to Cassidy Reid. Every rewatch when she shows up I’m always like ‘Oh yeah you were a thing for a minute.’”

In Yellowstone, Cassidy is a former prosecutor and rodeo queen who John endorsed for the position of Montana’s Attorney General.

She was appointed after his son Jamie Dutton (Wes Bentley) suspended his campaign, but later stepped down from the position, as she had been tapped to become the Attorney General for the United States as a whole.

Taking to the comments section, other fans admitted they had also forgotten about the character.

“Ya i don’t even remember who this is!” one confessed, as another replied: “She was who became Attorney General instead of Jamie. Then she ‘left ‘to go work in DC, and then Jamie got made Attorney General.” (sic)

“Not sure it was even a full minute,” another fan quipped with a laughing emoji, as one more observed: “The most random post about a random third party character.” (sic)

Meanwhile, other fans discussed Rohrbach’s real-life reason for leaving the show.

In 2019, the same year she married Walton family heir Steuart Walton, the star stepped away from acting and said she was ready to leave her career in the spotlight behind.

One fan commented: “What is kinda of ironic is that the actress seemed to ‘step away’ from acting in 2019 (after season 2 I believe)… after marrying into one of the Richest families in the United States… The Waltons.” (sic)

Another replied: “I’d step away from all sorts of things if I had married into the Walton family too.”

A third fan speculated: “In the show she got tapped to be the assistant attorney general of the US I believe. Which is kind of crazy tbh.

“In real life she ended up marrying a Walton (Walmart) and likely didn’t have much incentive to work anymore.” (sic)

Yellowstone Season 5, Part 2 is set to premiere on Sunday, November 10 on Paramount+.
