Fans and celebrities alike have been rallying around Adam Thomas after he shared a deeply honest moment about self-doubt and confidence.
The actor opened up during a recent episode of The Thomas Bros Podcast, the show he co-hosts with his brothers Ryan and Scott. In the heartfelt conversation, Adam spoke candidly about struggling to believe in himself despite the life and career he has built.
During the emotional discussion, Adam admitted that while everything might look perfect on the outside, internally he still battles feelings of doubt.
‘When you look at the house that I’ve got, the cars, the life that I’ve created for myself and yet I still don’t believe in myself,’ he shared.
The former Emmerdale and Waterloo Road star went on to explain that there are moments when he feels overwhelmed by gratitude, but also guilt.
‘There’s days I walk down the stairs in this house, and I think I’m so grateful, I’m so lucky,’ he said. ‘But I feel guilty because of it because I’m like, why do I deserve this? Why do I deserve a beautiful wife and this perfect family?’
Adam continued by explaining that the feeling often leaves him questioning himself.
‘That’s the one thing that beats me up sometimes because I’m like, why me? I’m no different to anybody else,’ he admitted. ‘And I suppose that’s the thing that I’m chasing, the self-belief and the confidence.’
Despite acknowledging that his career has been hugely successful on paper, Adam said there is still a part of him that struggles to fully accept it.
‘On paper, the life and career that I’ve created for myself is ridiculous. The job that I’ve got is amazing, but there’s just that one thing that’s inside of me,’ he said. ‘I doubt myself so much and over-procrastinate.’
The TV favourite also explained that he tends to build others up while forgetting to show the same kindness to himself.
‘What I’m doing now is just trying to find out what it is,’ he added. ‘I’m everyone else’s best friend and I will always big everyone up and tell them how great they are, and I just don’t do that for myself.’
His honesty struck a chord with listeners and viewers, many of whom rushed to show their support online.
Among those offering words of encouragement was Emily Atack, who commented: ‘You deserve it because you are a kind, pure and beautiful soul.’

Adam’s twin brother Scott also shared a heartfelt message of support, writing: ‘You deserve it ALL my twin… you really do.’
Meanwhile, Joel Dommett added his own encouragement, saying, ‘You are the best. Love you bud!’
Fans were equally quick to show their love, with many admitting the emotional moment was difficult to watch.
One viewer wrote: ‘Ahh Adam this was a hard watch! You deserve it all. You’ve worked so hard for what you’ve got and your family is just amazing.’
Another added: ‘I wish you could see yourself through everyone else’s eyes. You are genuinely a fabulous human being.’
Adam has long been known for his positive energy and upbeat personality, which is why his honest confession resonated so strongly with fans. By opening up about his insecurities, many praised him for highlighting a struggle that plenty of people face, even those who appear to have everything.
