Asha Alahan will be left horrified on Coronation Street as she is called to investigate a car collision, which could involve her brother Aadi.
It was confirmed earlier this year that Adam Hussain would be departing the ITV soap after five years in the role as Aadi, with the character recently being instructed to head to India following the breakdown of several relationships.

In scenes set to air on Tuesday (26 August), Aadi will continue his preparations for his relocation, with Asha being downbeat at the prospect of her brother having a new life on the other side of the world.
After saying her goodbyes, she heads out for her shift with Sienna, and is immediately called to inspect a car accident. Things take a sinister turn, however, as she immediately spots that the vehicle belongs to Aadi; the question is, was he in the car?
The developments come after a special episode on Monday, in which Asha reaches “breaking point” in her career as a paramedic. The one-hour instalment will document the various challenges in her line of work, with the character being at the very centre.
“I feel honoured to be trusted with a storyline of this scale and significance,” said Tanisha Gorey, who portrays Asha. “Stepping into the shoes of a trainee paramedic and exploring the highs, lows and emotional challenges of their work has been both moving and eye-opening.
“It’s a role that carries a huge responsibility, and I hope we’ve done justice to the reality so many face. If this story reaches even one person, sparks a conversation, or offers a moment of understanding, then it’s served its purpose.”
Gorey, who began playing Asha in 2009, also spoke about her character’s feelings in regards to Aadi’s impending departure, saying: “She’s absolutely distraught about Aadi leaving, they aren’t just twins but they are also best friends.
“Although they have a love/hate relationship, he supports her so much and is the only person who she can really trust, so I think knowing that he is leaving is making her feel even more isolated.”
