Coronation Street‘s menacing Mick Michaelis goes on the rampage next week, as he vows revenge on arch-enemy Kit Green.
Following surprising revelations about their past, Mick now has even more reason to hate Kit. As Mick’s world falls apart, he’s prepared to go to any lengths to get his own back – including hurting Kit’s mum Bernie Winter.
The vendetta between the blokes gets even more vicious as a question mark hovers over Brody’s true paternity, with Kit strongly suspecting his teenage fling with Lou means he could be Brody’s dad.
After the lad is caught shoplifting, Kit attempts to reprimand him, bringing him face to face with his possible offspring.

When the detective later bumps into Mick, the pair exchange more snipes, and Kit can’t resist making a comment about Lou not being as loyal as her hubby thinks she is. Realising Kit is hinting about Brody’s parentage, Mick fumes…
This only makes Mick detest Kit more, and puts him on a quest for answers from Lou. As Mick confronts his wife, tempers flare and concern mounts for Lou’s safety when pals Gemma Winter and Sean Tully can’t get hold of her…
The next time we see Lou, she’s nursing an injury after her row with Mick turned violent. Mick then speeds off in his van, consumed with rage and ready to give DC Green a piece of his mind.
Calling Kit, Mick blames his ex-pal for everything that has gone wrong in his life and decides that he wants to kill him. Soon, Mick has taken Bernie hostage in order to lure Kit into a final showdown.

Joe Layton, who plays Mick, tells us: “Mick likes to think that he would be able to [kill Kit]. Not that he’d enjoy doing that, but he’d back himself to do it.
“If he’s standing over Kit again, I think all of those things flash through his head: ‘This was my best friend and I don’t want to be in this position’.
“Mick is also a man who’s lost everything. When someone’s lost everything and they’ve led the life that Mick has led, and the stories that we learn about him, that makes someone incredibly dangerous, I think…”
Coronation Street airs these dramatic scenes on Friday 23 May on ITV1 and ITVX.
