Chelsea Fox (Zaraah Abrahams) is targeted by a group of sinister men in her workplace in EastEnders this week.
The Walford favourite recently got her job back as the club manager of Harry’s Barn after the venue was taken over by new owner Nicola Mitchell (Laura Doddington).
She was demoted under previous owner Phil Mitchell (Steve McFadden), leading to Chelsea sabotaging new boss Penny Branning (Kitty Castledine) by tinkering with the club’s online booking system.
Unfortunately for Chelsea, her actions had dire consequences when too many tickets were sold for an event, causing a crowd crush that seriously injured many Walford residents, including her stepsister Amy Mitchell (Ellie Dadd).
Wracked with guilt, Chelsea kept quiet about her involvement, but even when the truth was exposed to her family, Penny still ended up taking the fall.
Now back behind the newly-named bar, forthcoming scenes see her serving former stepdad Jack Branning (Scott Maslen), who is licking his wounds after being knocked back by his ex-wife and Chelsea’s mum Denise Fox (Diane Parish).
When a group of men are inappropriate with Chelsea, Jack steps up to defend her and a violent tussle ensues.
Jack is punched in the brawl before Nicola intervenes to break up the fight and invites Jack into her office to get cleaned up – but it soon becomes clear she has other intentions.
Meanwhile, Chelsea almost stumbled upon mum Denise’s secret relationship with her ex-boyfriend Ravi Gulati (Aaron Thiara) next week, sending her mother into a spiral.
Explaining the drama, Aaron, who plays Ravi, says: ‘Ravi completely understands why she’s so concerned about Chelsea. Ravi respects Denise’s wishes and is happy to go at her pace. She needs to feel comfortable about when the other members of the family find out about them, especially Chelsea.
‘Knowing how Chelsea felt about Ravi when they were together, this will cause absolute carnage and it’ll be Denise’s relationship with her daughter that’s on the line.’
