Avani Nandra-Hart (Aaliyah James) is currently dating a much older boy in EastEnders, and his vile behaviour is beyond worrying.
Avani’s boyfriend Mason is well aware that she is underage, but recent scenes saw him attempt to pressure her into sleeping with him.
Not wanting to go any further than she was comfortable, Avani made her excuses and left – but Mason wasn’t happy.
Throughout the day, he constantly blew up her phone with calls that she ignored.
Midway through the day, Tommy Moon (Sonny Kendall) told Avani’s mum, Priya Nandra-Hart (Sophie Khan Levy) that Avani had been texting an older boy, and it didn’t take long for Priya to question her about it.
Priya was clearly concerned, but Avani managed to divert her by insisting that it was Barney Mitchell (Lewis Bridgeman) that she was dating.
Still worried that Avani was rushing into things, Priya confided in her daughter that she wished she had waited to have sex and not rushed into it too young, and assured her that it was perfectly normal to not be ready yet.
Priya’s advice seemed to resonate with Avani, until she later received a voice message from Mason.
After listening to the message, in which Mason told Avani to delete his number if she was going to be ‘frigid’, she appeared torn about what to do, before sneaking a packet of condoms off the Minute Mart shelf and into her bag.
