Coronation Street’s very own Sally Carman, who stars as Abi Webster, has dished the dirt on how she maintains her youthful appearance.
Since her 2017 arrival on the iconic ITV soap, Sally’s portrayal of Abi has captivated viewers, cementing her status as one of the popular figures on the show with a slew of major storylines.
Abi’s journey has been tumultuous to say the least, from dealing with the heartbreak of her son Seb’s (Harry Visinoni) tragic murder, battling addiction and more recently grappling with PTSD.
Currently, all eyes are on Abi as whispers of an illicit romance swirl around her and Carl (Jonathan Howard), her brother-in-law, adding to the stream of drama that follows her in Weatherfield.
Stepping off set, Sally celebrated a fabulous 50th birthday in May, which had fans astounded by how sensational she looks for her age, reports Leicestershire Live.
Sharing her secret to a youthful glow, Sally candidly revealed to The Sun: “Oh, it’s no secret – I have fillers, I have Botox, facials…. I do all of it.”
Never one to be coy about her beauty regime, Sally added: “I’m really open about it. I don’t think there’s anything worse than someone promoting a cream saying: ‘Buy this mega-bucks cream and your face will be as smooth as mine.’ I’m like: ‘Yeah, whatever.’ So there’s no cream – well, there is, but there are other things on top.”
Life on Coronation Street isn’t just bringing Sally professional joy – it’s where her love story began too. She met Joe Duttine, who plays Tim Metcalfe, on the cobbles and the pair got engaged in 2020 before making it official in a romantic ceremony two years later.

Recounting their engagement tale on Kate Thornton’s podcast White Wine Question Time, Sally shared: “It was while we were in lockdown and we were staying in the Dales with his sister, who has a lot of space, with, his kids” she said.
“And he had just read a Benjamin Meyers book called The Gallows Pole, which Shane Meadows is making into a film right now. It’s all about these coin forgers and he was banging on about this bloody book for weeks and weeks and weeks.

“And I’m like: ‘I’m glad you’re enjoying that book, I won’t need to read it because you’ve literally told me everything that happens in it!’ We were walking around this big field on this walk and he went: ‘Kids, have a look in between the dry stone walling because you know, they used to put coins and precious things to hide them in the walls.”
She continued: “So I’m having a look and there’s this box. And I opened it. I’m like: ‘No way.’ And then there was another box inside. And I turned around and he was on one knee.”
