EastEnders has unveiled a big change to the set as Yolande and Patrick Trueman officially tie the knot.
The fan-favourite couple have had a difficult few weeks, following the break-in at their house. Patrick, who was injured during the robbery, has been suffering from anxiety and panic attacks.
After discovering his new friend Oscar Branning was behind the incident, Patrick decided to postpone the wedding to deal with the shock.
However, in tonight’s episode, Yolande finally convinces her fiancé to walk down the aisle, and they exchange vows in an emotional ceremony surrounded by their friends.
Later, at the reception in the Vic, Denise Fox reveals how much Oscar helped with organising the event.
In a heartwarming twist, Patrick decides to forgive the young man, declaring: “Well, then, it’s time to put this nightmare behind us, okay?”
Eagle-eyed viewers will notice that the wedding scenes take place in a brand new location, which showcases the expanded EastEnders set.
A bright turquoise food and drink hub can be seen in the backdrop of the nuptials, with a sign reading: ‘Container Junction’. The surrounding area features balcony seating and a large scenic garden.
Plans for the set expansion were originally announced in 2023, with a warehouse and a collection of shops and houses in development. Which new location will we be seeing next?
