EastEnders has revealed a major new clash for Stacey Slater after her emotional Walford return, in the show’s latest episode.
While she’s been away for a few weeks visiting her brother Sean, Stacey has returned in time for her ex-husband Martin Fowler’s funeral – but not everyone is happy to see her.
In today’s emotional episode, grieving Stacey returned to Albert Square drunk – on a milk float, no less – on the morning of the sombre occasion.
Her daughter Lily was left to get her younger siblings ready for the funeral while also struggling herself, and as Sonia took Stacey home to sober up, the teen was furious to see her mum in such a sorry state.

As Martin received a guard of honour on Bridge Street, Stacey told Sonia that she couldn’t face the funeral – unable to forgive herself for his death.
Sonia reminded Stacey that what happened to Martin wasn’t her fault, saying that she would regret not paying her respects, and she eventually changed her mind about attending.
Stacey got ready to leave for the funeral, but Lily spotted her by Martin’s stall and decided to confront her mum about her actions.

Lily’s rage bubbled over, and she accused Stacey of ruining her relationship with Martin over the years.
“You didn’t deserve him,” she exclaimed. “You still don’t deserve him. Everyone knows you are nothing more than a cheap, dirty, lying slapper.”
Stacey then hit her daughter, and Lily ran off in tears as a result. Eve promised to find Lily, while Stacey headed to the church with the family.

But as the funeral proceedings began, Eve arrived at the church having been unable to locate her. Lily missed the funeral and instead sat in the playground drinking vodka with Avani.

With Lily not around to deliver her speech at her dad’s burial, Stacey said a few words and broke down in tears as she paid tribute to her “best mate” Martin, admitting that she’ll never love anyone as much as she loved him.
But is Stacey’s relationship with Lily now damaged beyond repair?
