Grief-stricken Stacey Slater (Lacey Turner) finds her turmoil growing after a mobile phone mishap leaves her terrified she’s about to lose the last traces of late love Martin Fowler (James Bye).
Devastated Stacey was forced to say goodbye to Martin after they both became trapped in The Queen Vic when it exploded in February – losing him as he died in the aftermath of the collapse.
Since then, she’s grappled with an overwhelming sense of grief, returning from a brief visit to brother Sean (Robert Kazinsky) drunk and in a state.
Arriving home just in time for Martin’s funeral, she soon clashed with daughter Lily (Lillia Turner), slapping her across the face as Lily accused her of abandoning the family in their time of need.
Between Lily burning down Martin’s stall and her sense of guilt over the accident, Stacey has been in a bad place ever since.
And, as her pain grows, a terrible accident leaves her fearing that she’s lost every last remaining vestige of Martin.

As the week begins, Jean (Gillian Wright) and Mo (Laila Morse) are away, leaving Lily and Freddie (Bobby Brazier) to hold the fort at the Slater household.
Stacey, meanwhile, stays locked up in her bedroom, leaving Lily to cover up for her flailing mother.
When Freddie realises that Lily has been skipping school to look after the house, he tells Kat (Jessie Wallace) the truth, asking her to help.

Arriving at the Slater house, Kat is shocked by what she finds, and calls an emergency family meeting between Alfie (Shane Richie), Eve (Heather Peace) and Suki (Balvinder Sopal).
Emerging from her room, Stacey finds the family gathered in the kitchen – but rejects Kat’s attempts to make her see sense.
Later, as she realises that Stacey isn’t coming out of her bedroom, an overburdened Lily breaks down.
Making a turning point, Stacey leaves the house for the first time in weeks. She leaves Kat concerned when she invites everyone around for a big family meal – fearing she’s taking on too much, too soon.

Later, Stacey attempts to force a good mood, but is horrified to realise that her coat and mobile phone have fallen into the laundry bag Freddie took to be washed.
Explaining that the phone contains all her voicemails, photos and texts from Martin, she rushes off to find Freddie before it’s too late.
As Stacey runs off, Alfie is left even more alarmed when Arthur (Rocco Brenner) shares a worrying secret.

Over at the launderette, Kat and Lily try to calm down a frantic Stacey, fearing she’s in the midst of a bipolar episode.
And, as Alfie shares what he was told by Arthur, an incident between Stacey and Lily brings their relationship to breaking point.
