Once it was confirmed Robert Sugden (Ryan Hawley) was back for good, we KNEW he was going to bring the fire to Emmerdale.

And oh boy is he bringing the fuel to pour on it too.

Robert made his big return to the Dales from prison on the Isle Of Wight at the exact moment ex-husband Aaron (Danny Miller) was marrying his new beloved John (Oliver Farnworth) and Robert successfully put a halt to the wedding.

That alone caused fireworks, but then he later went on to snog Aaron – who kissed him back, and Chas (Lucy Pargeter) saw.

Aaron went on to um and ah about what to do next, with Robert begging him not to marry John. Quite the scandal, especially as Aaron then decided to go ahead and marry John anyway.

Robert skulked off after being rebuffed but almost instantly was snapped up by PC Swirling and sent back to prison for breaching his bail conditions. A right royal mess for the accidental killer.

But is this the last we’ve seen of Robert Sugden? Have we heck.

Robert isn’t doing well since his return to the slammer and sister Victoria (Isabel Hodgins) prepares to visit him.

She tries to convince Aaron to come too, but the newlywed refuses. Vic accepts his decision and leaves without him without much fuss, but Aaron is left to regret his choice when Vic returns and reveals that Robert is in a bad state.

Victoria’s at a loss as to how to help her big brother and Aaron is in a bit of a bind, being that he’s now married to someone else but seems to have a pull back towards his ex. But will his guilt make him risk his marriage?
