UNFORESEEN TRAGEDY! Sister Wives Season 19: Why Kody Brown Snub Could Be a Bad Sign

Sister Wives star Kody Brown was snubbed for Father’s Day 2024. This isn’t a surprise. The

polygamous patriarch hasn’t exactly been the best dad in the world. Kody has always preached that “love

should be multiplied, not divided,” but the mantra failed.

Kody Brown snubbed on Father's Day 2024 ahead of Sister Wives S19.

As his family began to grow and the wives started to pile up, Kody seemed to forget how to manage his time. Kody never admitted to having favorites, but it became apparent to the Brown family and viewers that the TLC star had few family members that he preferred over others.

Who’s your daddy?

It didn’t go unnoticed that not one of his 18 children wished Kody a Happy Father’s Day. We can assume his five children with Robyn Brown celebrated with him; no others came forward with words of affirmation.

The 55-year-old has been in a years-long feud with his older children, whom he shares with Meri Brown, Christine Brown, and Janelle Brown. The family has become more fractured over the seasons.

Thus, Kody has been left out of good tidings.

Season 18 showed his older children, like Gwen Brown, Garrison Brown, and Gabe Brown, talking about feeling abandoned by their father.

Sister Wives viewers took to Reddit to share their opinions. One fan wrote, “He has failed as a father to his non-Robyn kids. Kody’s views on being a dad are so disappointing to hear.

It’s HIS job to be a dad and reach out, not the other way around.” Another follower added, “Sadly, Kody will likely only hear Robyn and her kids singing his praises and turn a blind eye to his other kids’ silence.

Or he’ll see this as his kids being ‘ungrateful’ or something like that.

If no one wished him a Happy Father’s Day, it makes me think that filming for Season 19 could be under immense strain.Sister Wives' Christine Brown Throws Shade At Kody With Father's Day Post

As we saw in Season 18, Christine had moved back to Utah. Meri is officially no longer a third wheel. And Janelle couldn’t bite her tongue anymore.

Could it be that the rest of the Brown family are flat-out refusing to film with Kody? I sense a problem in the force for the patriarch.

The entire series is based on proving that polygamy can work and should be accepted within the United States.

My question remains: if Kody is loathed, how will the filming schedule work? Fans had already dealt with a season that showed wives filming in different locations, and frankly, it wasn’t entertaining.

Half the point of tuning in was to watch the four wives and Kody interact. Albeit, I am not interested in another season of separate conversations.

Reality TV fans already know that these types of scenarios don’t play out well and usually result in a reboot or cancelation.

The Brown family has to film with one another, or I dare say it is the end of Sister Wives.

Possible Season 19 premise

If the network can somehow convince the cast to rally, I believe that there are possible storylines. After Season 18 wrapped, Janelle finally confirmed that she, too, had decided to leave Kody.

It would be interesting for cameras to capture their split. We saw Janelle finally blow up at Kody during the finale, so I am ready for the mother of six to have her moment.

Although they may have claimed not to want to be monogamous, there were also rumors that Kody and Robyn were courting a possible new wife from Mexico.

The last we heard was that the mystery woman became uncomfortable and turned down his advances. So again, if cameras were quick to capture their dating rituals, fans would eat that storyline up.

Some Sister Wives’ dads got a shout-out

Not all Brown family members ignored their stand in dads. Christine made sure to give a touching post to her husband, David Woolley regarding their blended family.

The photos showed her children embracing David, but there was no mention of Kody. Even Maddie Brown Brush took the time to praise her husband for being a wonderful, present father.

Maddie wrote in an Instagram Story, “Happy Father’s Day to the most patient, kind, and attentive dad I know! We are incredibly blessed to have you in our lives and to love you.”

I’d say Kody needs to shape up, but that chance has long passed him. For now, fans just have to keep their fingers crossed that Season 19 of Sister Wives isn’t a complete dud.
