Coronation Street’s Daisy Midgeley is set to make an explosive exit from the cobbles on Friday (May 2). The fallout will send shockwaves through Weatherfield next week as heartbroken Jenny Connor sinks into a pit of despair.
The events leading up to her stepdaughter’s dramatic departure saw Jenny transfer her entire fortune to conman Dom – unaware it was all a big scam masterminded by Daisy and her conniving mum, Christina.
Viewers will have to watch to see the final pieces of Daisy’s exit story fall into place, but, next week, Jenny is still struggling to come to terms with what has happened.
“Jenny feels like a fool,” explains our Corrie insider. “She’s lost her man, her money and her self-respect to boot. You don’t just bounce back from that.”

Well, you do if no-nonsense Rita has anything to do with it. The sight of Jenny wallowing in self-pity doesn’t sit well with her longtime ally, as Rita orders Jenny to snap out of her bad mood.
Pointing out that Jenny still has her good health, the wise Kabin stalwart encourages the depressed ex-landlady to look to the future.
However, when an awkward moment at the Rovers forces Ryan to point out Jenny is no longer his boss and he answers to Carla now, Jenny deflates again.

Meanwhile, as Glenda shows perspective buyers around the pub, the chances of Jenny mustering the strength to soldier on looks bleak. If Jenny’s no longer the Queen of the Rovers, what’s left for her on the cobbles?
Charlotte Jordan, who plays Daisy, appeared on This Morning to talk about her dramatic exit and revealed she would be joining The Archers on BBC Radio 4.
“I do feel excited, it’s a fresh start,” she said when asked about what the future holds. “I feel like I’ve done a lot of soapy things, I’ve done the checklist. They have been really good to me and it feels like time for a new beginning.”
