A Business Proposal with Hidden Motives?

In the latest episode, Celia tells Moira about a luxury spa hotel chain near Ilkley that’s looking for a new meat supplier. She explains that she already supplies poultry to the hotel, which is owned by a friend, but the hotel also wants beef. She suggests they form a partnership; her poultry and Moira’s beef.

Celia points out that while the situation may not be ideal, Moira is in urgent need of cash and shouldn’t ignore an opportunity like this. She refers to the large bill from the slurry spill as a clear reason why Moira can’t afford to hesitate. Reluctantly, and with few options left, Moira agrees. She signs the deal and later mentions it to Joe Tate at The Woolpack. But Moira might not realise what she’s walked into.

Joe and Kim Tate have made no secret of their plans for the area. They’ve been trying to get their hands on Butler’s Farm for some time, and Celia’s sudden involvement raises questions. Her timing seems too perfect, and her offer too convenient.

Natalie J Robb, who plays Moira, said in a recent interview that Celia uses a new tactic this time, she tries to befriend Moira. According to Natalie, Moira ends up liking her more than expected. But she also warned that Celia might be working with someone else behind the scenes, possibly with a goal to push Moira out.
