Coronation Street has revealed a new threat to Abi and Carl Webster’s affair – as an unexpected character gets suspicious.

Abi’s secret romance with her brother-in-law Carl is in full swing, and this week the pair enjoyed a day out together after Abi told Kevin that she had a headache.

Meanwhile, Hope took a rather revealing photo of Tyrone and threatened to post it online unless he let her go to a gig – but Abi was horrified when she spotted her and Carl in the back of the cheeky snap.

With Kevin keen to see Tyrone’s hilarious pic in today’s episode, Abi tried to get Hope to delete the evidence – but Hope still intended to post the photo online.

Abi attempted to keep Hope away from the house for as long as possible, while Carl snuck in to retrieve her phone from the biscuit tin, with Tyrone having confiscated the device.

But there was a big emergency on the cobbles, as Steve lost Dorin while he was meant to be looking after him, and he feared that the toddler was hiding in the fridge which had been taken away by the council.

Carl headed to the back garden of No.9 and immediately found Dorin, who was hiding in the outhouse.

Steve spotted Carl outside, but he pretended to be a worried neighbour and offered to stay at the house while everyone looked for Dorin elsewhere.

With the house to himself, Carl found the phone and plunged it into a sink full of water. Hope caught him and was horrified, but Carl made out that he found the phone in the sink.

Later, as panic set in for Tyrone and Fiz, Carl emerged from the house with Dorin, pretending to have just found him outside.

The family was happy to have Dorin back, but Hope was frustrated that her phone remained broken and she couldn’t go to the gig.

Abi and Carl believed they were in the clear – but meanwhile, Hope told her dad that she doesn’t trust Carl and she suspects that he destroyed her phone on purpose.
