Leanne Battersby (Jane Danson) is well and truly on the rebound after Nick Tilsley’s (Ben Price) huge betrayal in Coronation Street, which has led her into the bed of someone totally unexpected.

In tonight’s episode, Leanne woke up beside none other than Ryan Connor (Ryan Prescott), having spent the night with him.

Leanne spent the previous evening flirting with a range of eligible bachelors, including Ryan himself, and it would appear that they took things even further later on.

Leanne was nursing quite an impressive hangover when she woke up beside the barman, who was quick to offer to cook her a fry-up. Bless him.

However, Leanne soon realised that she was going to be late for her court hearing, and was forced to make a hasty exit.

Despite the abrupt end to their union, could this be the start of something more long-term for Leanne and Ryan?

It wouldn’t be the first time Ryan has dated someone totally unexpected – who could forget his dramatic relationship with Tracy Barlow (Kate Ford) in 2012?

Tracy’s main goal in dating Ryan was to wind up Michelle Connor (Kym Marsh) and Steve McDonald (Simon Gregson), and it is safe to say that she was successful.

With Leanne having taken plenty of Tracy’s advice recently, could she be set to follow in her footsteps and start a relationship with Ryan just to spite her ex?

It would appear not, as when Leanne took a trip to the Rovers later in the episode, Ryan was quick to make sure she knew where they both stood.

They were soon in agreement that their night together was just a bit of fun, and that neither of them were in the market for anything serious.

News of their passionate evening came as quite a shock to Debbie Webster (Sue Devaney), who was still furious that Leanne had also tried it on with Ronnie Bailey (Vinta Morgan).
