As reported by The Mirror, across Emmerdale, Coronation Street and EastEnders, the pay structure is the same with actors receiving a fee per episode, which can range from £400 to £2,000, with a guaranteed number of episodes a year and a repeat fee, reports Leicestershire Live.
While it’s not known which Corrie star is the highest paid, reports have emerged over the years about what some of our favourite cast members are worth.

Jack P. Shepherd is one of the soap’s top earners as David Platt and he ranks among one of the highest-paid soap actors of all time – despite joining the soap in 2000.
He was also recently crowned the winner of the Celebrity Big Brother 2025 series. His fee for Coronation Street is said to be a staggering £250,000, according to The Sun.
Jack topping the list might surprise some, especially considering William Roache – who holds the record as the soap’s longest-serving actor playing Ken Barlow – reportedly earns the same annual salary.
It’s been suggested that William receives a substantial £250,000 yearly salary for his portrayal of Ken, a role he’s held since the show’s inception in 1960.

Other cast members’ salaries that have been speculated include Barbara Knox, who has played Rita Tanner since 1964. She is rumoured to be earning a tidy £200,000 annually from her work on the much-loved soap.
Michael Le Vell, known for his portrayal of Kevin Webster, reportedly takes home an impressive £170,000 each year.
As for Simon Gregson’s character Steve McDonald, who has appeared in more than 3,000 episodes, he is believed to be pocketing around £150,000.
