EastEnders’ Zack Husdon (James Farrar) receives bad news from his ex Whitney Dean (Shona McGarty) at the worst possible time next week.
Whitney left the Square with their newborn daughter Dolly last year after discovering he’d cheated on her with best friend Lauren Branning (Jacqueline Jossa).
Zack has continued to make off-screen visits to spend time with his baby girl, but life in Walford has been tough for him – especially in the wake of the death of his best friend Martin Fowler (James Bye).
Shortly before Martin perished amid the devastation caused by the Queen Vic explosion last week, Zack confessed he’d had a fling with Nicola Mitchell (Laura Doddington) years before they both moved onto the Square.
Martin then jokingly asked Zack if he could be the biological father of her son Barney (Lewis Bridgeman) – something that turns out to be true next week.
After Barney has a dash to the hospital when he starts bleeding from the wound he sustained in the explosion, Zack pushes Nicola on his paternity, and she confirms he is Barney’s real dad.

Reeling, Zack heads back to Walford to drown his sorrows but his day goes from bad to worse after a phone call from Whitney.
What news has she hit her ex with?
Actress Shona, who played Whitney, recently revealed fans could see her in Walford again one day.

‘I would absolutely go back to EastEnders – it’s 16 years of creating a family, I grew up on that show,’ she told The Sun in November.
‘I’ve got a really good relationship with EastEnders, the doors open but at the moment not yet.’
