Emmerdale stars James Chase and Eden Taylor-Draper have reunited following his on-screen exit.

For over a year, Eden’s character Belle Dingle was subjected to horrific physical and emotional abuse from husband Tom King, who was played by James.

There were red flags from the outset, but his vile, coercive behaviour worsened following their marriage.

From isolating her from friends and family to destroying her confidence and forcing her to give up work, he ensured that her every move was manipulated.

In horrifying scenes, he smashed her mother’s urn and then pretended that her beloved pooch Piper had passed away.

The character, as viewers know, did everything he could to postpone the eventual trial and even staged an attempt on his own life in a bid to evade justice.

When the storyline concluded, Tom a jury found him guilty and the judge handed him a custodial sentence of three years.

Viewers have since seen Belle attempt to rebuild her life.

She also got an emotional reunion with Piper, and we’re still mopping up the tears.

Last night, James and Eden glammed up for an appearance at the Broadcast Awards 2025.

ITV picked up the gong for best channel, whilst Coronation Street were celebrating winning best soap opera.

The former Emmerdale couple were representing their own soap, and Eden shared an adorable snap of them on her Instagram story.

‘#BA2025’ she captioned it, with a white love heart emoji.

Eden was seen wearing a black dress adorned with white pearls, whilst James donned a black bow tie and suit jacket combo.

As the night went on, James shared selfies of them clutching wine glasses and smiling into the camera.

In a reference to his get-up, he captioned one snap: ‘Your new Bond. Sorry Aaron.’

This is of course relating to the rumours that Aaron Taylor-Johnson is tipped to be the new 007.

Upon James’ exit in December, he didn’t rule out a return: ‘I think, with good behaviour, he’s only going to get something like 16 to 18 months, which is crazy.

‘But I think it would depend where they would want to go with the character, because there are many different avenues you could go with it.

‘They could make it that Tom potentially had got even worse, and hasn’t changed at all. Perhaps, he could hate Belle even more for it.

Or if he did go the other way and finally did realise the terrible things he’s done, and perhaps did, actually start to try to become a better man.

‘I think he’ll struggle being in prison, definitely, but I think through that struggle, it will humble him, and he’ll hit rock bottom.

But I think it could be the best thing for him, because of how tough it’s going to be for him inside. It may make him come out, having realised what he’s done and not take things for granted.’
