Emmerdale‘s Mackenzie Boyd stumbles upon a clue in John Sugden’s van next week that could change everything – but will he keep it to himself, or confront John and risk meeting a grisly end?
After a huge bust-up with his wife Charity Dingle, Mack is grateful when John gives him a lift in his van.
But there he discovers something which might finally bring down the menacing medic. What has he uncovered?
“Mack’s discovery is life-changing,” confirms our Emmerdale source. “Just as John thinks he’s slithered away from suspicion again and can begin a new life with Aaron, Mack’s realisation threatens to ruin everything!”
It’s a tense week for John when he learns the police are reopening Nate Robinson’s murder investigation. After finding an inconsistency with Owen Michaels’ suicide note, which John clumsily faked, the police descend.
John panics that he’ll be implicated in the investigation and feels wretched seeing Tracy Robinson and Cain Dingle plunged back into grief. And as the walls close in on him, John makes a sinister phone call.
Meanwhile, grief-stricken Cain and Tracy despair when the police probe them with new questions. Tracy’s confusion worsens when she meets with the removal man again and he claims he doesn’t recognise the photo of Nate.
But later, the same removal man lies to the police that it was Owen who paid him to collect Nate’s belongings. Smug John is flooded with relief when his plan comes together, and deceased Owen takes the fall once more for Nate’s death.
With Tracy, Cain and even Robert Sugden now convinced by the evidence that Owen was Nate’s murderer, slippery John escapes scrutiny and plots to flee from the village with Aaron.
Despite his husband’s secret betrayal, everything is playing right into his hands – that is until Mack gets into his van.
“Mack’s life is in serious danger,” our insider warns. “A flashforward on New Year’s Eve showed him running for his life through the woods.
“These photos show he’s wearing the very same beanie hat that he wore in that scene. So is John about to strike again?”
Could John silence Mack for good with another deadly dose? Or might Mack make his escape and expose John’s true colours to the village?
