The Young and the Restless alum Mishael Morgan recently set out to do something she’d never done before. The actress made a big change to her virgin hair.

Morgan (Amanda Sinclair) shared a new Reel on Instagram. She revealed to her followers that she’s never colored her hair. Morgan took fans behind the scenes of her transformation. The video slowly counted down to unveil her new dark brown shade. Morgan whipped her hair around in slow motion.

“I’ve never colored my hair before. Not once,” she explained in the caption. “It might seem like a small thing, but for me, it wasn’t. It was the back-and-forth, the doubt, the ‘should I, shouldn’t I?’ that felt bigger than just picking a shade.”

Morgan was scared to color her “virgin hair.” That’s understandable. if you mess up the color, it can be hard to correct it. While some claim it’s just hair, it can be hard to handle such change. Morgan explained why it took her so long to make this decision in her post. Morgan’s hair was part of her identity.

“Because sometimes, it’s not just about hair. It’s about identity, about comfort, about the parts of ourselves we hold onto without realizing why,” Morgan mused. But she was ready to change up her hair color. The Y&R alum found it “freeing” after she experienced the “hesitation” and “excitement.”

Morgan looks incredible with her new hair color. Soap fans agree. Most of them took to the comment section to react. One user assured her that her hair looked great no matter what she did with it. “Your hair is gorgeous—before and after! I’ve colored my hair for years now, but I love to experiment with different shades and tones,” one user wrote.
