Emmerdale‘s Vanessa Woodfield desperately tries to make amends with Tracy Robinson next week – but her struggling sister isn’t interested.

As the discovery of Nate’s body in the lake continues to send shockwaves around the village, Tracy’s plight is made even worse by a series of events involving Vanessa. Has this drama wrecked their relationship for good?

“The walls have quickly closed in on Tracy, as she suddenly became the prime suspect in her estranged husband’s murder,” recaps our Emmerdale insider.

“While under pressure, she panics this week and says she was with her sister on the day Nate was killed – but Vanessa is terrified about having to give a false alibi.”

Law-abiding Vanessa faces a tough decision when the police ask her to give an official statement in this week’s episodes.

What happens next remains under wraps for now, but as next week’s episodes get under way, it seems that Vanessa hasn’t exactly helped Tracy in her fight to prove her innocence.

In follow-up scenes, Vanessa is determined to reach out to her baby sis and to explain her motivations. She grabs Tracy for a chat in the shop, but unsurprisingly, her attempt to reconcile falls flat.

“Tracy is furious with Vanessa,” our source continues. “She thought that in her time of need, her sister was the one person she could always rely on.

“But the situation she finds herself in now proves this isn’t the case. She feels completely let down by Vanessa and isn’t interested in her excuses.”
