Mickey was written out of the BBC soap in 2008, but made a brief return in 2011 for a few episodes as part of his brother Darren’s exit story.
His return in tonight’s (Monday) episode thrilled Walford locals as Mickey stepped out of a car in a sharp suit, heading straight for Walford East, much to the delight of his old friends.
He reconnected with his former friends, such as Mo Harris (Laila Morse), Alife Moon (Shane Richie), Kim Fox (Tameka Empson), Jack Branning (Scott Maslen) and Kat Slater (Jessie Wallace).
Mickey showed off his success revealing he runs a chain of BnBs called Miller’s Villas.
His comeback to the square was tied to the possible closure of Bridge Street market, where he donated generously.
In a twist, he also steps in to help Mo by taking photos for the Walford lads’ fundraising calendar after the original photographer fails to show.
Kim noticed Mo was missing a man for the December page of her fundraising calendar.
This prompted Mo volunteer Mickey as the solution to the problem.
