Coronation Street star Tina O’Brien has revealed what she has to do to work alongside Jacob Roberts as she shared an update on their on-screen relationship.

As fans of the ITV soap know, the actress is famed for playing Weatherfield’s Sarah Platt, while former Hollyoaks star Jacob arrived on the cobbles last year as Kit Green, the long-lost son of Bernie Winter.

Their two characters have been enjoying a romance for several months now and have already faced some big and awkward challenges in their new relationship, including Kit discovering Brody Michaelis is his son, before being stabbed by who Brody thought was his biological dad, Mick Michaelis.

But in a new interview, Tina has revealed that their relationship is set to grow more serious, despite them currently suffering complications with Kit’s newfound son.

Speaking to Inside Soap, the soap star said: “She knows that Kit has a side that she doesn’t quite understand because he’s secretive and private about certain things.

“She knows there’s a mysterious side to him, but apart from that, she trusts him and thinks that maybe they do have a future together…”

Tina also spoke about working with Jacob, who made his debut as Kit in May 2024, saying she was pleased to discover they would be working together.
