Emmerdale‘s Moira Dingle becomes the latest villager to get caught in the crossfire of John Sugden’s scheming tonight.
Moira suffers a nasty injury when John commits sabotage at Butler’s Farm for the second time in a fortnight.
The drama plays out as John plots to get former rival Mackenzie Boyd back in everyone’s good books.
Distracted by the backlash he’s facing after being wrongly blamed for the leak, Mackenzie pulls out of being Aaron’s best man at the upcoming wedding, feeling that it’s not the right time for him to be part of the celebrations.
This devastates Aaron, who wants his best friend to be right by his side when he ties the knot with John next week.
Keen to put Aaron’s needs first, John’s thoughts immediately turn from destroying Mackenzie’s reputation to now trying to repair it.
With his usual lack of regard for anyone’s safety, John sabotages a trailer at the farm and causes an ‘accident’ which leaves Moira’s hand trapped.

Although John witnesses the incident unfold, he stands back and waits for Mackenzie to find Moira instead. For once, John wants someone else to play the hero and bask in the glory, knowing that this will improve Mackenzie’s relationships with his family.
Will everything play out as John hopes? Can the wedding plans get back on track? And how serious will Moira’s injury be? Fans can see how the drama plays out when the episode airs at 7.30pm on ITV1 tonight, or right now on ITVX.

“I think the character is a gift, really, because the backstory that’s been created from day one is so deep. The different intricacies of the character are just so interesting to play.
“He’s not just a villain or a bad person on paper – there’s way, way more to it than that. Even day by day, week by week, I’m literally still discovering things about him. So there’s plenty more to come and it’s a gift of a part.”
