CORONATION Street’s Jack P. Shepherd might be taking a three week break to appear on Celebrity Big Brother – but that doesn’t mean David Platt will be disappearing.
The actor – who has played David since he was just ten years old – entered the house last night as part of the brand new ITV series.

But while fan may think this will mean his character David will disappear for a while, The Sun can reveal the truth.
An insider has revealed the lengths show bosses have gone to to keep David in Weatherfield.
“Viewers won’t notice Jack’s absence,” a source said.
“It’s only for three weeks so it was easy to move a bit of filming around to accommodate Jack’s availability.
“He filmed a few scenes ahead of time so David will still be part of the cobbles.
“But filming is so far ahead that Celebrity Big Brother will be well over by the time what’s currently being filmed is broadcast.”
It was revealed yesterday that Jack has bagged two British Soap Award nominations for Coronation Street at this year’s bash.
He has been nominated for Best Leading Performer and Best Comedy Performance.
The ITV soap has been riding high after the devastating death of Paul Foreman last year and the huge house fire as David Platt spirals out of control.
Voting is now open for the first round of the British Soap Awards and the public have until April 25 at 5pm.

The second round of voting will happen from May 1 and May 30, where the Best Leading Performer category will be whittled down to four big names.
The swanky bash will take place at the Hackney Empire in London on May 31 and will air on ITV1 in June.
Jane McDonald is returning to hosting duties for the bash after replacing former host Phillip Schofield two years ago.
