EASTENDERS has revealed the new owners of the Car Lot – after Jame Brown actor Jamie Borthwick was axed from the soap.
The business has been run by Lauren Branning for the last six months since Jay disappeared from the Square following the real-life sacking of actor Jamie.


He was suspended and eventually sacked after 19 years on the soap for using a sickening disabled slur.
It was eventually revealed on screen that Jay had had to suddenly leave to care for his grandfather Bert who had fallen ill.
However it has now been revealed that during his time away from his life and business in Walford, Jay has fallen in love and is now expecting a baby with a mystery woman.
It puts an end to any hope that he will be returning – and also means that his business is up for grabs.

He had been running the Car Lot for several years after Phil Mitchell engineered it to be handed over to him.
And now next week Lauren will find herself desperate to buy it so she can stay employed.
However with her credit history and lack of capital, she is left gutted when she can’t get a bank loan to fund the purchase.
Instead she turns to father-in-law Ian Beale for advice.
He doesn’t hand over any cash but he does point her in the direction of her own father – Max Branning.
Lauren approaches him and asks him to invest in her venture and eventually Max agrees.
However it soon becomes clear that Max has very different ideas about how to run their new business.
Will the father and daughter manage to find a way to make things work?
