Coronation Street‘s Debbie Webster gets drunk next week after the wedding fayre ends in disaster – prompting her to shut Ronnie Bailey out again.
Despite her devastating vascular dementia diagnosis, Debbie is determined not to let her life change. So, when the day of the wedding fayre she’s planned for the hotel arrives, she tries to give it everything she’s got.
Unfortunately, though, it’s not long before she’s overwhelmed…
“Between Lou nicking a bottle of Prosecco and failing to turn up to help Maria, and fussy Leanne banging on about the bad position of Speed Daal’s stand, it’s safe to say that the wedding fayre isn’t going to plan,” our Corrie insider tells us.

“Poor Debbie loses her clipboard and starts to spiral, struggling with her memory, but she’s trying to put on a brave face.
“Then, when Leanne just won’t shut up about the stand, Debbie loses her rag and tries to move it herself, injuring her hand in the process.”
Heartbroken Ronnie seizes the chance to help his ex and volunteers to take Debbie to A&E.
When they arrive, the nurse asks Debbie to answer some medical questions – but she panics that her diagnosis will be revealed, and firmly orders baffled Ronnie to leave. Will he follow her demand, or stick by his lost love’s side?

“Ronnie’s devastated that Debbie’s broken up with him – he thought she was the one he’d marry,” our source continues.
“He has no idea what’s actually going on with her, so is questioning what he could’ve done wrong to deserve being frozen out.”
Later, Abi and Debbie go to the Bistro to enjoy a nice lunch, both ordering soft drinks to wash it down – but when Ronnie turns up, Debbie rashly changes her drink order to a large vodka.

“One thing leads to another – and soon, Debbie’s absolutely plastered and crying at the table,” our insider reveals.
“Abi doesn’t know how to handle her. So when woozy Debbie staggers off to the loos, Abi calls the person they’re both relying on now – Carl. And her hunky brother-in-law soon swoops in to take his sloshed sister home.”
When Carl arrives, Debbie gives Abi a vague excuse, explaining that she’s had a bit of bad news – but will Abi buy it? And with everything crumbling around her, how long can Debbie keep her dementia diagnosis a secret?
Coronation Street airs these scenes on Monday 12 May on ITV1 and ITVX.
