Sister Wives Robyn Brown is ESTRANGED from Everybody in Kody Brown’s family

In the world of Sister Wives, few figures have become as controversial and polarizing as Robyn Brown. Once seen as the fresh addition to the Brown family, her journey within the plural marriage has taken a drastic turn, leaving her estranged from nearly every member of Kody Brown’s extended family. While fans initially welcomed Robyn with cautious optimism, the cracks in her relationships with the other wives—and even some of the children—have widened into full-blown rifts over the years.

From the beginning, Robyn’s dynamic within the family set her apart. Joining the Brown household in 2010, she was the last wife to enter into a spiritual union with Kody. Unlike the already-established relationships he shared with Meri, Janelle, and Christine, Kody’s connection with Robyn quickly became something entirely different. Viewers noticed the favoritism early on, as Robyn’s needs and emotions seemed to be prioritized above those of the other wives. In fact, in 2014, Kody legally divorced his first wife Meri to marry Robyn, enabling him to adopt her children from a previous relationship. That legal shift symbolized a deeper emotional one, too—and it was not well received.

Robyn’s apparent closeness to Kody quickly alienated the rest of the family. Her inability—or unwillingness—to forge genuine relationships with the other wives became more evident with time. Initially, she had a brief period of closeness with Meri, sparking hope that harmony might still be possible. But even that friendship eventually crumbled. According to Meri, the closeness faded without explanation, leaving her feeling discarded and manipulated. Meri’s close friend, Jen Sullivan, added that Robyn often acted as though she was someone’s best friend, only to turn around and completely ignore them. That kind of behavior, Jen alleged, revealed Robyn’s tendency to use people for her own benefit.

Christine and Janelle, two of the other sister wives, have also distanced themselves from Robyn. Christine, in particular, has been very open about her estrangement from Robyn, sharing that she hasn’t spoken to her in years—and that she has no plans to change that. “We’ll just keep it like that,” she said bluntly, reflecting on how little interest she has in rebuilding any kind of relationship with Robyn. It’s a sentiment that’s echoed among multiple family members, especially as Robyn continues to live in what many perceive as a bubble of favoritism, protected and elevated by Kody while others are left to deal with emotional wreckage.

Even some of the Brown children have voiced concerns about Robyn. Paedon Brown, one of Kody and Christine’s sons, publicly criticized her behavior and her relationship with his father. He described Robyn as self-centered, suggesting that she only sees what she wants to see and constantly makes herself the victim. Paedon pointed out how Robyn made Kody’s separation from the other wives more about her own emotions rather than acknowledging the pain others were going through. Fans remember moments when Robyn would cry about being isolated, seemingly forgetting—or ignoring—that much of the division stemmed from her own actions or inactions.

The deeper issue here, as many viewers have noted, is accountability—or rather, the lack thereof. Over the last decade, Robyn has rarely taken responsibility for her role in the unraveling of family relationships. Instead of self-reflection, she often frames herself as the misunderstood outsider, the one who never received a fair shot, or worse, the victim of jealousy and cruelty. While some fans sympathized at first, that narrative has worn thin. Many now believe that Robyn’s refusal to acknowledge her faults is what prevents any real reconciliation with the rest of the family.

One recurring critique is that Robyn continues to present herself as the peacemaker while simultaneously remaining complicit in Kody’s often dismissive treatment of the other wives. Meri, for example, stood by Robyn and supported her emotionally, even as her own relationship with Kody deteriorated. But that loyalty was never reciprocated. Robyn didn’t stand up for Meri or encourage Kody to treat her with respect. Instead, she stood by silently as Meri was pushed aside, emotionally isolated, and left behind. Now, with Christine, Janelle, and Meri out of the plural marriage and Robyn as the last wife standing, the emotional distance between her and the rest of the Brown family is undeniable. She appears increasingly isolated, surrounded only by Kody and her children, while her relationships with her former sister wives and their children have completely collapsed. The question on many fans’ minds is: can Robyn repair the damage, or is it simply too late?

Some believe that if Robyn were to genuinely apologize—to admit her mistakes, take accountability, and show vulnerability—there might be a path forward. But after more than a decade of deflecting blame and avoiding difficult conversations, that possibility seems more like wishful thinking than a realistic outcome. Robyn’s unwillingness to admit any wrongdoing continues to be the biggest roadblock to reconciliation.

So, where does this leave Robyn Brown? She may still share a home with Kody, but outside those walls, she stands almost entirely alone. Her estrangement from Meri, Christine, Janelle, and several of the children reflects years of hurt feelings, unmet expectations, and emotional disconnection. What was once hoped to be a harmonious plural family has fractured beyond recognition—with Robyn at the very center of the fallout.

As the Sister Wives saga continues to unfold, fans are left wondering if redemption is possible for Robyn—or if the damage is irreversible. One thing is clear: Robyn Brown is estranged from nearly everyone in Kody Brown’s family, and unless something drastically changes, that estrangement may be permanent.
