After seasons of frustration, Sister Wives fans finally witnessed what many have been waiting for: host Sukanya Krishnan pushing back at Kody Brown with unfiltered honesty.
In the second part of the Season 19 finale, Krishnan confronted the polygamist patriarch with a rare boldness that electrified the fandom—calling out his defensive antics and even labeling him a “baby” during a tense back-and-forth.
For years, viewers have accused Krishnan of treading too lightly in interviews, particularly with Kody and his fourth wife, Robyn Brown. But this time, she didn’t hold back.
When Kody tried to assert dominance mid-interview by claiming, “I could shut you down if I wanted to,” Krishnan didn’t flinch. She shot back: “No you can’t.” Kody pressed on—“Yes I can!”—only for the host to serve a clapback that had fans cheering: “Okay, or you could stop acting like a baby and have a grown-up conversation like the rest of us.”
A Long-Awaited Shift in Tone
The moment sent waves through the Sister Wives community, with fans flocking to Reddit to applaud Krishnan’s new approach.
After feeling for so long that Kody and Robyn were being coddled in these sit-downs, viewers were more than ready for this shift in tone.
“So proud of Suki, for saying that!!” one fan wrote. Another chimed in, “He’s getting paid to do a job and he’s crossing his arms refusing to do it. And it’s GREAT interviewing honestly because Suki demonstrated perfectly that Robyn is indeed the sacred cow and he is refusing to answer questions involving her. Proved Janelle and Christine correct through his non-answers.”
“Suki calling him a baby is priceless,” another viewer commented, while one more added with excitement, “Are we about to do a stare down competition? Because I’ll just stare back. SUKI HAS FINALLY ARRIVED!”
Four Seasons In—and a New Energy Emerges
Now in her fourth season hosting the show’s one-on-one specials, Krishnan has often been criticized for not holding Kody or Robyn accountable. Historically, her reserved approach left some fans feeling unheard. But Season 19 is proving different.
While she typically doesn’t engage much with viewer critiques, Krishnan did respond to a fan on Instagram back in 2023, after they wrote, “My biggest criticism is not so much that you don’t ask the hard questions but you explain too much to Kody. I wish you would just let him and Robyn talk and not direct his answers.” Krishnan replied, “Sorry you feel that way. I don’t think I give him any excuses.”
What’s Next for Sister Wives?
Clearly, she’s taken that feedback to heart. With only two episodes left in the season, fans are now eagerly watching to see whether Krishnan keeps this energy through to the end.
Sister Wives continues Sunday nights at 10 p.m. ET on TLC.
