Sister Wives stars Tony Padron and Mykelti Brown Padron recently explained what you see and don’t see on their family’s TLC series for Season 19. But there doesn’t seem to be a fix for the latest problem from the fractured family’s faltering show.

Sister Wives fans won’t bet the farm on this TLC series sticking around for too much longer. So, it made sense when Mykelti Brown Padron and Tony Padron offered their take on what the show lacked this season. And where this seemingly unfixable problem stems from.

None of the Sister Wives kids made the series their full-time gig, but the five spouses did. So, if the show is winding down to an end, Kody Brown’s children likely won’t face any financial hardships without the show.

But the same can’t be said for Kody and Robyn Brown. Neither of these two appear to have other gigs that bring in any substantial money. Sure, Kody offers those Cameo videos to fans. But they start at $149 for a personal message that mentions the name of the person for whom the video is for.

Tony, Mykelti, and a Bunch of Her Siblings Ride Coatails

Some of the Sister Wives adult kids took advantage of their family’s fame with online ventures, mostly in sales. They weren’t a regular part of the show and had other jobs to make a living, that had nothing at all to do with the show. So, it is likely nothing changes for the kids’ income when the show gets canceled.

Meri Brown, Janelle Brown, and Christine Brown moved on to other ventures that seem to be lucrative. Meri has her clothing sales, her B&B, and her latest, Worthy-Up, self-help campaign that prompts people to feel good about themselves.

Then there’s Janelle, who recently purchased a farm in North Carolina with her daughter Maddie Brown Brush and son-in-law, Caleb Brush. They plan to grow flowers for the booming flower industry. She also joins Christine in promoting a health drink.

Christine has the health drink promotional gig, along with two Airbnb rental properties today. Plus, she just wrote a book, which is peojected to be a best seller – Sister Wife, a Memoir of  Faith, Family, and Finding Freedom.

So, while the Sister Wives kids might have hitched a small ride on their parents’ coattails of fame, they likely will do just fine if Sister Wives goes belly up. The same goes for the original three wives, who diversified their sources of income over the past few years. But that leaves Kody and Robyn, who seem to have nothing in the form of income but the Sister Wives series.

Sister Wives: What Went Wrong Behind the Scenes…

It is easy to see what worked against the Sister Wives series. It is as simple as the man who was into multiplying love, instead he found division. Fans originally tuned in to see the innerworkings of a polygamous marriage. Many did this out of curiosity then started to get into the various characters on screen. And this kept them coming back.

But when the marriages fell apart, we have a show about polyagamy, without polygamy. You have Kody and Robyn as a monogamous couple today and three ex-wives finding a new life outside plural marriage.

But Tony and Mykelti hit on the reason there are so many problems filming the show today. Fans wondered why Season 19 seems so scattered. They see scenes filmed two years ago that were edited in with scenes filmed just recently.

Scattered Scenes Become Perplexing for Viewers

While it is sometimes hard to distiguish what are the older scenes, and which scenes are newer, one thing made it easy. When the younger kids appear, there’s no denying some scenes are much newer than the other. This season we saw Ariella Brown, Kody and Robyn’s youngest child, go from preschooler to eight or nine within the same season. Well, that was a dead giveaway.

So, fans wondered why Sister Wives did this. And Mykelti and Tony had the answer. They believe they might have run out of scenes they orginally filmed for Season 19. So, they filmed the newer scenes to fill up the time alloted for an episode.

Since the demise of the family, everyone scattered. They now live in different states, other than Arizona were they lived for the last several seasons.

Getting them altogether for the scenes of Kody and his ladies, is not happening anymore, or at least it hasn’t been what we’ve seen in Season 19. But distance isn’t the only problem when it comes to getting the family together. They aniomosity between the spouses also gets in the way.

Show About Polygamy without Polygamy…

Today, you have the Sister Wives show, which was originally about a polygamous family, and they no longer exists. But now you have the main characters too far away from each other to get any family interaction on screen.

For this reason, Mykelti and Tony aren’t sure how they could possibly keep this series afloat. A lot of the footage and drama of previous seasons came from the spouses all in one room. But that ship has sailed.

Still, from what Season 19 had to offer so far, Sister Wives might not be too far from its final voyage into the TLC sunset. But, it is not over yet, we still have new episodes of Season 19 to watch, when the TLC series comes back from its mid-season hiatus.
