Emmerdale Soap Scoop! Cain and Graham spark suspicion
Emmerdale‘s Paddy Dingle goes on a rescue mission to save his broken dad next week, as Bear Wolf’s despair sinks to a new low. Lost and traumatised, Bear heads to the spot where Anya was buried in search of comfort.
But as the police circle, ready to lock him back up, Paddy must save his dad or lose him forever…
“Bear’s mental state has never been worse,” shares our Emmerdale insider. “Paddy knows what happened last time Bear sank into depression and he’ll never forgive himself for that. He’s only just escaped one prison – Paddy won’t see him locked up.”
After discharging himself from hospital following the previous week’s injury, Bear stumbles down an isolated country road, confused and frightened. Having spent all night searching for his dad, Paddy is beside himself and no closer to finding Bear.
As if things couldn’t get any worse, DS Walsh arrives, reminding Paddy and Dylan Penders that Bear has not only broken his bail conditions but also assaulted Jacob Gallagher during his hospital visit.
Paddy is aghast at the news, especially when Walsh points out that Bear will be held on remand as soon as he’s found.
“Paddy feels like he’s losing Bear either way,” our spy continues. “After all the horrors that his father has suffered, prison is the last place he should be. Bear isn’t the man he was, but Paddy doesn’t know how to help him.”
Paddy resumes his frantic search and finds his dad in a terrible way next to Anya’s empty grave. Gentle with his father and understanding his grief, Paddy coaxes Bear back into his car. After rescuing him, Paddy knows he needs to hand Bear into the police, but fears that means condemning him to a long stretch in prison…

“Paddy can’t save Bear alone,” our insider adds. “His new plan to avoid Bear’s imprisonment means taking his father to a secure mental health unit. But will that be enough to satisfy the police?”
At a loss, Paddy’s plan to save Bear from the brink might give his dad the support he needs. However, the police are still hungry for answers about Ray’s murder, and Bear is their main focus.
Will Bear receive the help he needs to survive his ordeal? And will the police show mercy after everything he’s been through?
