EastEnders’ Suki and Eve will be faced with a “difficult road ahead”, following Avani’s decision to terminate her pregnancy.
In episodes set to air next week, Avani, having confided in Eve, will reveal to her grandmother Suki that she’s no longer pregnant, but how will Suki feel when she realises that Eve was the one who helped her go through with it?
According to actor Heather Peace, Eve’s decision to help Avani, knowing that it will destroy Suki’s hopes of raising the teen’s baby, will have some big consequences on their marriage.
“There’s a part of Eve that has completely forgotten about Suki’s manipulative side, and she’s been a master manipulator in this situation,” Pearce said.
“Suki is Eve’s weakness, and I think she could persuade her to do anything! The problem is that she and Suki are very different people, so it’s going to be a difficult road ahead for them.”

While Eve is aware that her marriage would be affected, she ultimately decides to put Avani’s needs first.
“It’s a really emotional moment when Avani tells Eve she wants to end the pregnancy,” the soap star said.

“They are both really sad as they realise that this is what needs to happen for Avani’s wellbeing. What’s difficult is that Avani insists that Eve keeps this a secret, so Eve unselfishly puts what the impact might be on her life to one side so she can be there for Avani.”
As Pearce noted, Eve’s selfless deed is a “sad” one. “It is hard for her because she has to let this dream go. She’d never even considered having children up until this point, but Suki has convinced her that she’d be a great mum. So, Eve takes all of this to heart, and it is quite sad as she has to let it go.”
