Emmerdale‘s Moira Dingle could be in trouble as the truth about Emma Barton’s death has been revealed.
In tonight’s shocking episode, newcomer Lewis Barton struck a risky deal with his half-brother Ross as he was determined to find out what happened to their mother Emma.
On the day of John Sugden and Aaron Dingle’s wedding, both grooms and best man Mackenzie Boyd were nowhere to be found. While the husbands-to-be were having a heated discussion at home, Mack was in hot water of his own.
When Aaron and John finally showed up at the pub for the ceremony, the guests insisted Aaron pick another best man as Mack was still MIA.
As Aaron asked Paddy Dingle, Mack was stuck in Lewis’ weed attic. He and Ross had planned to rob the place and sell the plants to pay off Moira’s debt.

The big heist went awry when Lewis’ phone app alerted him that an intruder was in the loft. He quickly figured out that Mack and Ross were trying to steal from him and decided to turn the situation around.
Having a chat with an embarrassed Ross, Lewis agreed to let Mack go on one condition.
“We’re gonna break that pattern,” Lewis told Ross, accusing him of being vague when discussing Emma’s fate.
“I want the full story or he’s not coming out of my loft,” he said.
At home, Lewis quizzed Ross about Emma’s death. Ross maintained she was killed by his half-brother Adam, who went on the run after taking the blame for his mum Moira.
Under pressure, Ross’s tongue slipped when he swapped pronouns and said “she” murdered Emma.

“She finished what I couldn’t,” Ross said.
“You mean he?” Lewis replied.
“You’re clenching. You clench your jaw when you’re stressed or you’re lying,” Lewis continued pushing his brother.
“You slipped up,” Lewis insisted, as Ross deflected to no avail.
“Are you covering for someone, you and Adam?” Lewis then asked. “It must be someone who means a lot to both of you.”

Despite Ross’s repeating Lewis was “way off the mark”, his younger brother was quick to put two and two together.
“Moira killed my mum,” he said, as Ross remained silent.
Will Lewis confront Moira? Or will he go straight to the police? Whatever path he chooses, it’s safe to say Moira should sleep with one eye open.
