Manpreet Sharma will harbour a secret on Emmerdale as the villagers grieve following the dramatic limousine crashes.
Tragedy struck in the Dales on Friday (February 14) after a routine night out turned into a nightmare, with 17 lives hanging in the balance following two separate accidents involving limousines.
One of the crashes saw the vehicle plunge into ice as several characters battled the elements as well as their immediate danger, with Monday’s (February 17) instalment revealing that Suzy Merton had tragically lost her life in the crash.
With more deaths set to occur over the course of the next few days, next week’s scenes will see the villagers come together in mourning as they reflect on the lives that were lost, with Charles gathering the community together for a vigil.
During the service, Manpreet begins to receive some text messages from an individual who remains a mystery to the audience and her close friends. After remaining coy about the content of the messages and who is sending them, people begin to wonder what she could be hiding.
Meanwhile, actor Laura Norton – who plays Kerry Wyatt on the ITV soap – recently spoke about the devastating scenes from the crash, sharing that several cast members were left in “tears”.
“The limo scenes were amazing to shoot, we had so much fun together and there are so many stories woven throughout the episodes,” she said. “I think the stunts will shock the audience. It was like being on a big film set [and] the way the limo was stuck on an icy lake was pretty epic.
“I’m so proud to have been in these episodes although it’s bittersweet – as lives are very much in peril and that means some tears have been shed whilst filming. The outcome is going to affect so many in the village as well. The aftermath is going to cause huge ripples.”
