Emmerdale‘s Steph Miligan threatens to report her parents Caleb and Ruby to the police next week.
Steph considers the drastic move after struggling to get any answers over Anthony Fox’s mysterious disappearance.
Ruby killed her abusive father Anthony last month and has since been supported by Caleb in a desperate cover-up of the crime.
Cain Dingle, Chas Dingle, Aaron Dingle and John Sugden have also been actively involved in keeping the truth under wraps.
In next week’s tense episodes, Steph’s ongoing suspicions grow further when she hears from a friend of Anthony’s, who warns that he has failed to turn up for a planned visit. This is yet more proof that there’s something strange about Anthony’s sudden disappearing act.
Steph notices that Ruby seems particularly rattled over Anthony. Believing that Caleb must be helping her mum, Steph searches through his office for any clues on Anthony’s whereabouts.
Steph makes a breakthrough when she finds the gun that Caleb recently used to threaten Anthony with. She assumes that it must have been involved on the day that Anthony disappeared.
Clutching at straws, Caleb claims that he bought the weapon to kill Cain. Steph wastes no time before going to Cain to see if he’ll verify this – but will Cain back up Caleb’s story after the recent tension between them?
Later, Steph confides in her boyfriend Ross Barton about her next move, unaware that he’s siding with Caleb and Ruby on this one.
Ross comes to the depot to warn Caleb that Steph is planning to report him and Ruby to the police for their suspected involvement in Anthony’s disappearance.
Is it game over for Ruby, Caleb and their co-conspirators?
Emmerdale airs these scenes on Wednesday, March 12 on ITV1 and ITVX.
