previous episodes of the show, fans got to see Betsy Swain opening up to Carla Connor about how not only was she manipulated by Joel. She

told her mother everything about how she had helped Joel get the medicines that would force Lauren into aborting her baby.

In the previous episodes, she told Carla how Joel did it all and how he manipulated her. ““He tricked me mum. He gave me money to ring this private health clinic and made me say I needed an abortion so they’d give me the drugs.” She told her, how Joel made her believe that it was all for a young, vulnerable Clint and how she wouldn’t ever would have done it if she knew it was going to hurt someone.

Thankfully, instead of making it all any more difficult for the young girl, Lisa comforted her and got her to make a statement. After that, Lisa went on to arrest Joel and started interrogating him. Making a mess for himself, Joel lied, and claimed that he had nothing to do with drugs.

However, Lisa had another bomb with her, which was a recording of Joel and Betsy’s conversation where he had asked her to deliver it all to Dee Dee’s house. To save himself once again, Joel started to claim that Betsy was pregnant and the drugs were for her. But, to Joel’s misery, nothing really worked.

Now, Joel is in prison, demanding for bail. However, as per the latest Coronation street Spoilers, he has been asked to hand over his passport before he could be released. What we are left thinking now is, what is next for Betsy?

With Joel behind the bars, it seem less likely that he would be able to hurt her, but given this is Joel we are talking about, could he have something up his arm too? What do you think?
