Billy arrives late for his drink date with Sally. He just dropped off his kids after settling an argument between them.
Johnny thinks Max Schreck’s Nosferatu was a better vampire than Bella Lugosi’s Dracula.
Sally comments on how old those movies are and he digs into his leather jacket to gift her red vampire teeth. They flirt over biting each other with them.
They move from the bar to the sofas and he tells her he left fast after things got tense between him and Adam.
They agree they talk too much about their exes and decide not to wallow but to keep things light between them. They drink to it.
Since they can’t get an organic conversation going, Sally suggests they crack jokes.
Billy has Dad jokes and tells her, “What do you call a dog that meditates?”
Sally laughs when he says, “A werewolf.” He says Jimmy Durante would say… he stops when she jokes that she doesn’t know him and then admits she is an old movie buff.
Billy’s all out of jokes by this point and he suggests they share a story about themselves that has no angst in it.
She finds a coin behind his ear and the talk turns to her carnival past. She flips the coin and he goes for tails. It’s his turn. They banter a bit and then he decides he’d rather tell a joke.
She tells him not to stall so he reveals he lost the company boat Ja-Boat in a game of Texas Hold’em.
He gambled with it. Sally laughs but knows that’s tragic. He agrees, not sure why he told her.
She’s glad he did and he gets right into the game, telling her exactly what cards he had and how it all went down with him losing with four of a kind to Sinead’s straight flush.
She’s riveted and clearly knows her cards. Sally decides to tell her own story about the epic food fight with Steffy Forrester. She calls it a brawl which started with her spilling water on Steffy.
It escalated to cakes and deserts. She goes back to the beginning and tells him about the feud between Steffy’s grandma, Stephanie Forrester and Sally Spectra, Sally’s great aunt.
Sally admits she was also trying to impress a guy and boost her social media. He does a search for Sally Spectra Tart, which was trending at the time. He asks if she recovered from it and she calls herself a tough cookie. She thinks that’s a dad joke but he thinks she’d have to be a dad to tell a dad joke. They flirt and joke around.
At the manse, Kyle and Claire make out until he pulls away and asks if she’d like to stop. “Definitely not,” she tells him and they resume locking lips.
Soon, they take things up to Kyle’s room and he asks if she’s sure she wants to do this. She is so they resume kissing on his bed.
She finds her phone in the sofa cushions and then notices Claire’s handbag. She calls out to Kyle and Claire and sighs as she moves her bellowing to the stairs.
Upstairs, Kyle and Claire have heard none of this. Claire rips off Kyle’s shirt and they make out.
Things come to a halt when they finally hear Summer’s voice.
Kyle heads downstairs, shirt unbuttoned and asks why Summer’s back. She should have called. She shows him her phone and says she forgot it and he admonishes her for yelling since she could have woken Harrison up.
Summer says she saw Claire’s purse and thought Harrison was sick. She thought they let him eat too much candy. Annoyed, Kyle says their son is fine.
She asks where Claire is and Kyle shuts her down. “Goodnight, Summer.”
She sarcastically apologizes for ruining his night and stomps off. Claire appears and thinks she should leave. K
yle fills her in on what happened and Claire understands why Summer would worry.
He begs her to stay but she says though what they did was nice, she should go. They share a kiss and she says she’ll see him in the morning when she takes Harrison to school.
Besides, it didn’t feel as though it was the right moment for them. Kyle vows to wait for her. They smooch.
Crimson Lights
At the cafe, Phyllis asks Daniel if they figured out who murdered Heather.
Daniel says no and he is ready to fight back. She’s in but he wants to do it alone.
Phyllis can’t believe he’s counting on Christine.
He defends the blonde and Phyllis says she told Christine about Sharon being a suspect. Phyllis vows not to do anything extreme so he agrees to let her help.
She looks over and sees “the guilty party” walk in. Sharon looks at them from behind the counter. Mother and son stare at Sharon and Daniel says that there’s no evidence to suggest she’s framing him.
“Yet,” Phyllis says. How did the evidence get in his condo?
They talk about looking at this logistically before confronting the person for what they did.
Their gaze goes to Sharon again. Phyllis goes to see Sharon and asks how her Halloween is. Sharon says it’s fine.
Phyllis asks if she’s seen any ghosts and Sharon offers her candy.
Phyllis refuses and calls Sharon’s actions downright scary lately. Sharon doesn’t want to hear her accusations but Phyllis doesn’t care.
“I know what you did,” she sing songs. “I have proof.”
Sharon leans in and practically growls, “What the hell are you talking about?” Phyllis includes Daniel in this and Sharon says she knows nothing.
Daniel appears and Phyllis taunts Sharon that she’ll be surprised when she’s arrested and taken to prison. Nick arrives and Sharon scrambles, saying she has no proof.
She switches to sounding more confident and claims she had nothing to do with her death.
Nick eavesdrops as Phyllis accuses Sharon of murder and then takes off.
Sharon says she knows how hard this is on him but he denies that with a sarcastic laugh.
Sharon says his mom isn’t doing him any favors by running around with these accusations.
Daniel isn’t sure what to believe but he didn’t kill Heather. He goes and Nick shows himself and asks for answers. Sharon brushes it off but Nick overheard.
Sharon thinks Phyllis is desperate to get everyone to see Daniel’s innocent.
When Sharon says she claims she has proof, Nick asks what that is.
Sharon stops him. Does he think she actually killed Heather? Nick doesn’t believe that. Sharon doesn’t want Faith or Mariah to hear these accusations.
Nick knows it has to stop and Sharon comes up with an idea to end it. Nick asks her to let him talk with Phyllis first but Sharon doesn’t like letting him fight her battles. She might get a restraining order.
Athletic Club
Daniel meets Phyllis at the Athletic club and takes a seat beside her on the sofa.
She asks if he believes what she’s saying about Sharon now. Daniel agrees she was painting herself to be the victim.
Phyllis wonders what type of person does this. Daniel’s more concerned with what she said. She has proof?
Phyllis says she was bluffing but Sharon doesn’t know. “You put enough pressure on a nut and it’s bound to crack.” She plans on following Sharon around and being relentless. Daniel scoffs.
When is she not relentless? His mom says she’ll bombard the woman and make sure she exposes herself. She’ll be so afraid to get caught that she’ll confess!
Daniel thinks it’s a situation that will backfire but Phyllis is sure she’ll get the woman fit with an orange jumpsuit. “I’m gonna set a trap for her and make her pay,” she decides.
Summer rushes in, apologetic for being late. She learns that Phyllis plans on gas lighting Sharon into her thinking she has proof that she murdered Heather.
Summer’s astounded. Daniel isn’t sure Sharon did this.
They go back and forth about whether or not Sharon killed Heather.
Athletic Club
Outside Sally’s room, she comments that it was the second time he walked her to her door.
They wonder if they’ll ever be able to tell silly stories about Adam and Sharon.
Sally puts in the vampire teeth and Billy leans in and asks if he needs to worry about her biting him.
“I mean, you do have a nice neck,” she says.
He wants to come in for a night cap and though she’d love it, she says, “Not yet.”
They like being with each other. Billy pulls a coin from behind Sally’s ear to make her laugh before she heads inside.
Once she’s gone, he receives a text from his mom, telling him
Sharon’s house
Nick and Sharon arrive at her place and Nick tries to get her to relent on the idea of a restraining order which will antagonize Phyllis more. Sharon says that’s nothing new.
She feels fragile and doesn’t want Phyllis undermining her balance. Nick wonders if it’ll only make her look guilty if she does this.
Sharon perks up, “But I’m not!” He knows. She agrees to let him talk to Phyllis once more. They embrace after she thanks him for being in her corner.
