Kyle meets Summer at Crimson Lights. Although the situation is tense, she hopes they can move beyond their differences and concentrate on Harrison.
CBS
As they sit down, Kyle admits he’s surprised she didn’t bring her lawyer.
They exchange barbs, and she reminds him that they once had strong feelings for each other. “More than just like,” he replies, though he doesn’t recall it fondly.
She hopes they can manage to be civil, while Kyle acknowledges that she asked Victor to get in touch with him.
CBS
Kyle thinks that was a new low for her. They bicker about that and he tells her to be honest and admit she asked her grandpa to intimidate him.
Summer says he knows a lot about conflict resolution.
They argue about how they have been hurting Harrison. She knows he loves their son but the choices he’s been making are questionable.
Summer admits she feels guilty whenever she takes Harrison out of his home. That’s because they failed.
CBS
Now their son is caught between them, surrounded by anger and resentment.
He agrees with this and is ready to create a safe place for their son.
What do they need to do to make peace? She needs him to cut someone out of his life completely.
CBS
He assumes she means Claire, but she’s talking about Audra.
He’s not giving up Glissade to appease her. Summer won’t back down. He thinks this is ridiculous.
He’s building a legacy for their son. She still wants him to force Audra out.
CBS
Kyle says that letting her run his life is not meeting halfway.
She says it’s nowhere near to halfway. She can’t trust him. He’s on the darkside.
He insists their son will always come first. There has to be a solution less insane than blowing up his life.
They can drop the fight for custody and just retain joint custody as before.
Summer assumes there is something he’s not telling her.
CBS
She assumes Audra is holding something over him. He asks if they can just keep the agreement as it is.
She won’t let Audra have any access to their son.
CBS
He’s fed up with playing nice about this. She’s clearly trying to blow up his life and won’t listen to reason.
“See you in court,” he declares, stomping out.
CBS
She makes a face.
CBS
Chelsea runs into Billy in the park and he hands her a single rose.
They kiss and she updates him on Connor getting a new doctor.

She thought he would freak out but he was fine.
Billy thinks he’s a tough cookie like his mother.
She’s not feeling tough but he thinks she’s strong and her son is in the right place.
CBS
Billy tells her that Adam has been very territorial about her and Connor. He knows that’s out of line but he gets why he’s so protective.
Taking her hand, he apologizes for pushing her to open up. He shouldn’t of and won’t hold her to it.
Chelsea is sure he still thinks she’s keeping something from her. He says she can share if she wants.
CBS
That’s a relief to her.
They sit and he fills her in on Lily wanting him to take a backseat. He was shocked.
It is a recurring theme that people don’t think he’s good enough.
CBS
She assures him he is and says Lily will have to figure out how to make things work.
He has the actual power and could force Lily out but that’s not what’s best for the company.
Both people in a relationship need to be committed and he can see why he might make the company vulnerable.
He’s not quitting, only publicly stepping back and working behind the scenes, even if that’s hard on his ego.
He knows people think adding Abbott to the name was selfish but it was all about his mom.
CBS
Billy wanted to justify stepping down by making his mom’s illness public but Jill shot that down. Now he needs to find a new reason.
Chelsea thinks Lily must have bad judgment if she’s doubting him.
He thinks she’s just ambivalent about him and thinks he’s more a liability than asset.
Taking a step back could be a good thing.
If it doesn’t work, he needs to figure out what’s next.
CBS
At Newman Media, Adam argues with his underlings over the phone as his father walks in.
CBS

That’s why he put him in charge.

Adam saw this coming and assumes Nikki is on board.
CBS

Adam claims it doesn’t matter what he thinks.
Victor repeats his order that he needs to help him with his plans.
“Get it done son,” he orders, walking out.
CBS
Sally shows up and notices Adam is frustrated. They chat about Connor and how he’s doing.
Adam admits that his father has been creating tension in his job, giving him dirty work to do.
CBS
He wishes he could tell her about it but he can’t.
He’s still trying to wrap his head around what he’s been asked to do.
CBS
As she asks him if he still trusts her, Chelsea interrupts.
She’s meeting Adam so they can go and pick up Connor. After small talk, Sally exits.
CBS
Chelsea shuts the door and demands to know why Adam told Billy to stay away from her.
He explains that Billy was in his “I know best mode” and he was worried about what that could do to their son.
She orders him to worry about his relationships, not hers.
CBS
He says Billy is still being paranoid.

Victor tells him never to take the task to save his ass without approval again…but he does have something he could do.
He needs him to use his skills to find some dirt. It has nothing to do with Diane.
He needs dirt on Billy.
CBS
Billy arrives at his office and looks at the new logo on the wall before calling to have the announcement prepped.
The world needs to know Abbott-Chancellor means business.
