Jacob Roberts Reveals His ‘Low Moment’
Jacob Roberts, who plays Kit Green, opened up about his tough times. Before landing his part on the cobbles, the 34-year-old actor had difficulty finding work after his Hollyoaks role. He described it as a low moment.
The actor recalled, “Eight months previously, I was on TV, and now I was in the freezing cold rain on top of a roof, fiddling with a TV aerial.” He mentioned to The Mirror that it was winter, and instead of being inside and working on lines, he was outside up a ladder in the cold, which was a harsh reality check.
The soap star admitted he was anxious about being recognised and questioned about his previous role on Hollyoaks. He emphasised that he wasn’t trying to be pretentious; he was there to work and preferred to avoid unwanted attention. Viewers must remember that Kit entered Weatherfield as Bernie’s long-lost son earlier this year.
With his arrival, a lot of family drama came along. The police officer struggled to bond with his step-siblings, Paul Foreman and Gemma Winter-Brown, as he was still angry about being put into care. Apart from the family, he is pretty involved in the Cobbles drama.
