EASTENDERS has suffered a variety of mishaps and blunders – including some very obvious ones.

Bosses on the long-running BBC One soap would hope their audience didn’t notice some of the script

errors.

However, eagle-eyed fans have – and pointed out a number of jarring blunders.

From magic dresses, character’s jumping a year in age, to fake marriages, EastEnders has seen it all.

Ben’s hearing mishap

During his final scenes in EastEnders as Ben Mitchell, Max Bowden and bosses made a slip up.

Ben could be seen making a call from custody as he held up the phone to his ear.

However, the character suffers from hearing problems without his hearing aide, leaving fans scratching their heads.

Suki’s magic dress

In 2022 Suki Panesar was left fearful of her safety during an encounter with businessman Ranveer Gulati.

After attempting to blackmail him, Ranveer attacked Suki in horrific scenes.

But the entire encounter was recorded on CCTV.

However, for EastEnders fans, they were puzzled how Suki’s dress changed from its original pink colour to a blue one.

Jay’s parental status

EastEnders bosses appear to be making up Jay’s legal connection to Lola’s daughter Lexi.

The car salesman has referred to the youngster as his daughter, though she is technically Ben Mitchell’s child.

Billy Mitchell has also claimed to have legal guardianship of Lexi, despite Lola giving.

The soap only referred to Jay as Lexi’s foster dad just eight months ago.

Whitney’s imaginary marriage

In a recent EastEnders seen fans watched as Bianca reminded Whitney before she left of her short-lived marriage to Callum Highway.

But die-hard viewers instantly realised the embarrassing blunder – as Whitney never went through with the wedding.

She called the entire ceremony off after realising that Callum was in fact gay and had been sleeping with Ben.

How old is Lilly?

Back in 2023 when Lilly was pregnant, fans caught a glimpse of her year 10 group chat conversation.

Script writers were way off the mark as the teenager would’ve been just 13 years of age at the time.

Sonia and Reiss’ IVF struggles

Sonia and Reiss have been desperate to conceive a bag together now for over a year.

Fans had watched them struggle to find the money to afford the expensive treatment.

But eagle-eyed viewers pointed out how Sonia was left Dot’s house and a large sum of money when she died.

Reiss also took money from his wife, who remains in a coma in hospital.

Lola’s farewell

During Lola’s final scenes on screen viewers watched with tears as Jay and Lexi comforted her.

But they spotted how Jay was able to grow so much facial stubble in the space of a few hours.

Off camera, the actors more than likely shot the upsetting scenes over a number of days, resulting in the continuity problems.

Sharon and Karen’s showdown

Before Keanu Taylor’s demise last Christmas, Sharon Watts and his mum Karen had a dramatic confrontation in the hospital.

An emotional Karen had told her: “Not knowing how much it rips your heart out losing a child.”

However, Sharon knows all too well – having lost her first born Dennis from drowning in a boat accident.

Ian Beale had locked the troubled teen inside a room as the ship sank, sealing his fate.

What’s Ben’s name?

During a hospital stay for Ben, his ID tag displayed the name Benjamin Mitchell.

Casual viewers would assume his full birth name had been printed on the tag.

But his name is just Ben, something his mum Kathy made clear to Peggy Mitchell when he was a child.

In dramatic scenes Kim previously crashed her car with Denzel inside, leaving him unconscious.

Two people had tried desperately to free her from the car wreckage but were unable to.

The door had supposedly been jammed but Callum Highway was able to free Kim by simply pulling the handle.
