George paid his ex-wife Cindy Beale (Michelle Collins), formerly Rose Knight, to reveal her suspicions that Ian was the one who attacked her on Christmas Day.
He pointed out how strange it was for Ian to take her back after she cheated on him with Junior Knight (Micah Balfour).
Ian walked in as George was sharing his theories and couldn’t resist turning the accusations back on George himself.
Ian pointed out that George had far more reason to attack Cindy, given her affair with his son right under his nose.
Ian deliberately goaded George, pushing him until he snapped.
George punched Ian in the stomach and then in the lip, sending blood gushing from his mouth.
Cindy pleaded with George to leave, while Ian smirked, realising his plan to wind up George had worked.
Later, George made a shocking discovery in the Queen Vic pub cellar.
He found a trail of splattered blood on the floor which led to the shovel that was used to hit Cindy over the head on Christmas Day.
Could the attacker be a member of the Knight family living in the pub? Or are they being framed?

Meanwhile, Bianca Jackson (Patsy Palmer) took desperate action to escape from Reiss Colwell (Johnny Freeman).

Bianca begged Reiss to confess, but Reiss said he was too scared and didn’t want to go to prison.
Bianca then changed tactics.
LOVE triangles are a fundamental part of soap-land, but which ones have become the most iconic?
Sharon confided in best friend Michelle Fowler – not realising it was caught on tape – and her husband Grant eventually found out and played it in front of everyone at the Queen Vic.
Robert’s ex Katie Sugden almost exposed the affair – but fell to her death before she had the chance.
However, a guilty Aaron eventually cracked and told Chrissie about the affair – after which she announced it to the whole pub.
She told Reiss that she will confess to killing Debbie and go to prison for it.
Will Reiss believe her and let her go?
Or is Bianca trying to trick him in order to esacpe?
