EASTENDERS spoilers suggest Sonia Fowler is set for a startling revelation about fiancé Reiss.

Sonia (Natalie Cassidy) first met Reiss in 2022 at the funeral of his great-aunt Dot Cotton (June Brown).

Scenes yet to air suggest a surprise is in store for the nurse, who is now expecting a baby with her partner.

At the moment, Soniabelieves her engagement ring was stolen after Reiss was mugged.

However, she is soon set to discover this had been a bare-faced lie told by her fiancé.

In upcoming scenes, Sonia bumps into Eve (Heather Peace) and Suki (Balvinder Sopal) and realises that Suki is wearing her ring.

This is because Reiss actually sold the engagement ring, despite using it to propose to Sonia.

He intended to use the cash to pay back Phil Mitchell (Steve McFadden), whom he owes money to.

After the discovery, Eve covers up for Reiss by claiming she’d bought the ring at a pawn shop.

However, when Sonia decides to play detective in the matter, her fiancé is ultimately cornered.

Fans have been left fuming by the nurse continually having the wool pulled over her eyes, as one wrote: “Reiss isn’t even a good liar. I cannot believe Sonia is believing this story #Eastenders.”

Another said: “Sonia deserves everything that’s coming her way, she’s a special type of stupid #eastenders.”

It comes as viewers recently learned the full extent of Reiss’ dark side, which Sonia remains to oblivious to.

Last month, Reiss murdered his comatose wife Debbie in cold blood by smothering her.

He told his soon-to-be victim beforehand: “If you were here, properly here, you’d want to help me. Being sentenced to this pitiful pointless half life.

“It’s not fair is it? You lingering on in here while me and Sonia lose everything.

“I’ve only got one chance Debbie and I know, I just know you’d tell me to take it.

If you passed away, I could start again. I’ve lost you, I can’t lose Sonia and the baby as well.”

The despicable act followed Reiss stealing Debbie’s money to fund IVF treatment for Sonia to conceive.
