And having agreed to try and make a go of things, in today’s episode things went to the next level – for Carla at least.
As the couple spent midnight together for the New Year, Lisa’s injuries from work left her with a busted lip – but it didn’t stop Carla kissing her.
“It was well worth the pain,” Carla said after kissing Lisa’s bruised lip.
“You know what this is the best start to a new year in a very long time,” she added.

“There’s so many twists and turns along the way, it’s really exciting. It’s going to be eventful for Carla and Lisa…
Coronation Street Christmas and New Year schedule
ITVX won’t host early episodes for some days, but soap bosses have yet to confirm which dates won’t have an early release

Are we not meant to be relaxing and enjoying being with each other?’
“So, it’s a real test for their relationship in the early stages, but a good test.”
