Coronation Street‘s Ryan Thomas has confirmed reports that he’s returning to the soap to play a role in his on-screen mum’s exit storyline.

Sue Cleaver, who plays Eileen Grimshaw, called Ryan specially and asked him to consider reprising his role as Jason for her final scenes.

Ryan warned that it won’t be a long return, joking that he’d only be back “for five minutes”.
