This article contains spoilers for tonight’s Emmerdale, which has not yet aired on TV but is available to watch now on ITVX.
Marlon Dingle (Mark Charnock) received shocking news about April Windsor’s (Amelia Flanagan) disappearance in tonight’s Emmerdale, as family liaison officer Anna (Rhea Bailey) explained that new evidence had come to light.
April was discovered to be missing on Christmas Day, and poor Marlon has been in pieces ever since.
With the whole village out searching, everyone is eager to see the teenager home safe.
In recent scenes, Anna revealed to Marlon and Rhona Goskirk (Zoe Henry) that police had found a secret social media account, which April had been using under an alias.
As they watched a video showing April drunk and heading to a party, Marlon was devastated, and shocked at how differently April was behaving from the girl he thought he’d raised.
In a state, Marlon rushed out of the house, quickly followed by Anna, who revealed that there was something else she had discovered that she thought was best not to mention in front of Rhona.
Anna went on to explain that in some of April’s videos, the teen mentioned seeing texts between her dad and his ex-wife Laurel Thomas (Charlotte Bellamy).
As Anna revealed that April suspected Marlon and Laurel were having an affair, he was incredulous.
Though he vehemently denied April’s accusations, even going so far as to show Anna his phone, it later became clear that there was perhaps some element of truth to April’s suspicions…
Marlon was left feeling terrible about the situation, wondering if he was to blame for April’s sudden disappearance.
His mounting worries and guilt resulted in him snapping at Rhona, and soon he headed over to see Laurel.
